As a successful entrepreneur, mom, and now grandma, I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs while juggling family life and building a business. Over the years, I’ve learned that faith plays a vital role in keeping me grounded, hopeful, and strong. There were truly days(and nights) that the overwhelm and fear were almost too much to handle. But, we made it through time and time again.

Whether you are trying to manage a household, raise children or build a thriving business you need encouragement, and what better way than leaning into our faith? Here are 10 Bible verses that offer faith, hope and wisdom for both parenting and entrepreneurship.

1. Philippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

When you’re overwhelmed by the responsibilities of running a business or balancing parenting, remember that you are not alone. Christ provides strength to accomplish your goals and care for your family.

2. Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

Whether it’s building a new business venture or managing a busy household, this verse reminds us to place our trust in God. When we commit our work to Him, He guides us and helps us stay on the right path.

3. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

It’s easy to feel discouraged when business challenges arise or parenting feels overwhelming. This verse reassures us that God has a plan for us—a future filled with hope. Focusing on our faith rather than our fears allows us to push on knowing that HE is in control. Be still and know that HE is God.

4. Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

In both business and parenting, this verse encourages us to give our best effort, not just for worldly success, but as an act of worship and obedience to God.

5. Matthew 6:33“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

When life gets busy, it’s easy to get caught up in daily tasks. However, this verse is a reminder that when we prioritize God, everything else—including success in business and peace in parenting—falls into place. Looking back, I realize what a difference this has made in my life. I have always taught my kids to “honor God and He will honor you.” By seeking God first in all things, it seems as though I always had the clarity and confidence I needed to continually move forward and in the right direction.

6. Proverbs 31:16-17 “She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.”

This verse is a wonderful example of a strong and capable woman who handles both business and family responsibilities with grace and wisdom. It’s an inspiring message for every mompreneur.

7. Isaiah 40:31“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

When burnout sets in, this verse offers hope and renewal. Parenting and business can be exhausting, but when we place our trust in God, He renews our strength. Remember, walk by faith and keep going.

8. Psalm 127:3 “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.”

As a parent, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. But this verse reminds us that children are a precious gift from God, and parenting is one of the most important roles we will ever have.

9. James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

In business, as in parenting, there are many times when we don’t know what to do. This verse reminds us to seek wisdom from God, and He will guide us.

10. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

This powerful verse encourages us to stay brave, whether we’re tackling a new business venture or facing a parenting challenge. God is always with us. Always.

It is my hope that you will make these verses part of your daily life and devotionals. I am a HUGE journal lover and advocate that journaling daily is powerful. If you don’t already do that you should give it a go. One of my favorite journals(and I have a million…just ask my husband) is the 5 minute journal. It is simple, easy to use and it lays flat(which I LOVE). Trust me. Journaling will not only help you feel less stress and anxiety but you will also find you have a positive outlook. Spend five minutes a day on your personal growth journey. You deserve it. 🙂

By keeping your faith strong and relying on these Bible verses for encouragement, you can confidently navigate both your business and parenting journey. Remember to take care of yourself, stay grounded, and know that God has a plan for your life, filled with hope and purpose.
